This is the moment a woman screams in shock as a man standing in the middle of a busy thoroughfare suddenly whacks her car with a wooden stick.

The bizarre incident took place in the district of Ganjingzi in coastal Dalian City in north-eastern China’s Liaoning Province on 20th July.

The dashcam footage shows the woman’s car travelling at speed on Zhenxing Road when the club-wielding pedestrian comes into view.

He can be seen standing by the central reservation crash barriers on the expressway, and he lifts his arm and whacks the car with the stick as it passes.

The shocked woman screams as the male driver pulls over in the fast lane, where two other vehicles had also stopped after being attacked in a similar manner.

Another dashcam video shows the individual, who has not been named, attacking another male driver’s car in the same way, prompting him to pull over as well.

According to Dalian authorities, six drivers were struck by the stick-wielding suspect, with five of them calling the police and one motorist leaving the scene.

Drivers who confronted the man said he responded incoherently to their questions.

He was later detained by officers with the Dalian Bay Police Station.

It is still unclear whether any of the cars were badly damaged as investigations continue.
