The bizarre scene was filmed in the city of Xuzhou in the Chinese province of Jiangsu and the footage has been widely circulated on social media.

According to the news site Toutiao, the car owner had recently been involved in a road accident and had damaged the driver’s side of his vehicle.

He was reportedly on his way to the repair centre to have the vehicle fixed when the shocked motorist passed him in a road tunnel.

The man simply smiled as the stunned driver filmed inside the exposed car.

In the footage, the damaged car is seen approaching a road tunnel as the filming motorist draws up close.

As the motorist passes, a passenger films the damaged car and both doors are completely missing while other scratches and dents are visible on that side.

Meanwhile, man is seen behind the wheel while a woman is seated in the back.

The man double-takes at the cameraperson before flashing them a Hollywood smile as the video comes to an end.

It is unclear if the pair in the damaged vehicle managed to make it to the repair centre without incident.
