These are the images of a bungling boyfriend who impaled his foot on a fence as he tried to climb into the house of his ex-girlfriend who had a restraining order against him.

The incident took place in the early hours of the morning in the city of Junin, in the western Argentina province of Mendoza.

Police sources state the man, identified as Andino, had a restraining order put on him for reported domestic abuse against his ex-girlfriend and he is prohibited from going near his ex-girlfriend’s house.

However, he reportedly broke the order and tried to climb into the property but slipped and ended up piercing his foot on a metal spike.

In the photos, he can be seen hanging off the ground with his right foot pierced by a spike.

Local media report he could not free himself and was losing blood so he began screaming for help.

The emergency services were called and reports state his ex-girlfriend, who has not been named, took care of him until paramedics arrived.

Firefighters decided it was safest to cut the spike from the fence rather than pull it out of the foot and images show Andino in an ambulance with the metal spike sticking out of his foot.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is under police guard because he broke his restraining order.
