This is the moment a man throws a woman to the ground before brawling with another man and body-slamming him onto the pavement before pummelling him.

The brawl took place on Paseo de Gracia in the city of Barcelona in the north-western Spanish region of Catalonia, and the video footage was shared on social media.

In the footage, a man in blue shirt is seen throwing a woman to the ground before brawling with another man in a yellow jumper.

He lifts the rival before body-slamming him on the ground and pummelling him as two women try to stop the fight.

A woman is heard saying: “Please stop, do it for me.”

According to local media, some people in the video may have been tourists visiting Barcelona to see in the new years as they are heard speaking Portuguese.

Local police were unable to arrest the aggressor or identify those involved in the brawl

The police have not received any complaints regarding the city brawl.

According to the Mossos D’Esquadra (Catalan police), there were 46 people arrested on New Year’s Eve which is a 142-percent increase on the previous year.
