He said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “I told her, ‘Tonight I’m going to win the lottery.’

“And then bam, I wake up this morning and I won. It’s incredible.”

Patrick said he had a typical start to his day when he woke up on Thursday morning (8th December), but was shocked when he glances at his tickets and realised he had won USD 100,000 (GBP 81,500).

He said: “I made the kids lunch for school, made some coffee for me and my wife, then I sat down and checked my tickets.

“I was dumbfounded. I showed my wife so she could confirm it.”
