Maryland Lottery said that the father from the town of Hampstead bought the bet ticket for the ‘Pick 5’ evening drawing on Thursday, 13th October.

The man’s 28-year-old daughter followed his lead and bought a ticket for the same drawing and from the same store.

Then his 31-year-old son from the census-designated place of Towson, in Baltimore County also paid the liquor store a visit to purchase a ticket.

All three tickets used the same number combination 5-3-8-3-4, which finally turned out to be the winning numbers in the drawing.

It reportedly earned each of the family members a USD 50,000 (GBP 43,000) prize.

Media reported that one of the players planned to put their winnings toward a new home, while the other two said they would make an investment with the money they won.
