This is the moment a pooch runs after a police car at top speed after its owner was arrested and taken away for drug possession.
The woman, who identity has not been divulged, was arrested in the municipality of Americana in the south-eastern Brazilian state of Sao Paulo on the afternoon of 26th May.
Officers found the 30-year-old woman in an abandoned property along with eight portions of crack, one portion of marijuana and BRL 40 (GBP 5) in banknotes and coins.
She reportedly admitted to officers that she was a drug user and that she had two more portions of marijuana in the house, which the police also seized.
They arrested her for drug possession, put her in the back of a police car, and drove her to the local police station, around 2.5 kilometres (1.6 miles) away.
Her loyal pet dog was filmed from the vehicle behind chasing the police car at top speed and barking for her loudly for a number of blocks before giving up and apparently going back home.
The woman later made a statement at the police station and was released.
Officers filmed themselves as they returned to the scene the following day to check up on the pooch, which had been newly reunited with its owner.
They filmed themselves as they patted it and fed it some treats. From the footage, it appeared to be doing well.
It was not reported if the woman faces further action.
