A young woman who these images show in a loving relationship with her husband and father of her child has allegedly stabbed him to death in a drunken argument.

The incident took place at a block of flats in the city of Oktyabrsk in the Republic of Bashkortostan in south-western Russia when 22-year-old Kristina Galiev was drinking with her 27-year-old husband Arthur.

The pair were reportedly having a friendly chat when they began to raise their voices.

Witnesses said the pair then began arguing when Kristina allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed her husband, who is also the father to her one-year-old son, in the chest.

Emergency services were called but the victim reportedly died before paramedics could save him.

Kristina Galiev has reportedly given her testimony to police and says she did not mean to kill her husband. She reportedly claimed she was trying to protect herself and did not mean to hurt him, but just scare him with the blade.

The pair were active on social media where they often posted photos of themselves smiling together.

She was taken to a police station where she reportedly admitted her guilt. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. It is unclear if she has been remanded in custody or charged at the time of writing.
