Lorry Slams Into Shopfront As Owner Crouches At Entrance To Take Selfie

This is the moment a shop owner leaps out of the way just as a lorry crashes into his shopfront after crouching down to take a selfie at the entrance.

The near-miss was filmed in the city of Panzhihua in the southern Chinese province of Sichuan on 2nd March.

According to local reports, the lorry collided with a taxi at an intersection and the driver lost control, mounting the pavement and slamming into the shop.

Ironically, at the exact same moment, the shop owner decided to go outside to take a selfie and was crouching down to take the snap when the out-of-control lorry nearly killed him.

In the footage, the shop owner is seen walking to the steps outside the entrance and crouching down to take a selfie.

He shows the camera his ‘best side’ before instinctively turning his head and seeing the danger at the last second – allowing him to leap free of the onrushing lorry.

The HGV mounts the pavement and crashes into a street pole before slamming into the shop owner’s display goods.

The lorry then crashes into the shopfront where it comes to an abrupt stop.

According to reports, the lorry driver and a passenger were trapped inside the damaged cab for over 30 minutes.
