This is the moment a lorry driver takes a tight bend at speed on a wet road surface and crashes off the bridge, plummeting 33 feet to his death in the water below.
The incident took place on the Artvin-Erzurum highway in the Turkish province of Artvin at around 12.30am on 6th March.
In the footage, the lorry driver is seen driving quickly along the wet road before taking the sharp turn and losing control.
The HGV crashes into the bridge wall and plummets over the edge and into the water below.
The lorry driver, named as 53-year-old Ismail Acar, was travelling to Artvin from the neighbouring province of Erzurum when he crashed into the Chorokhi River.
The vehicle, carrying cement, crashed off the bridge and plummeted 10 metres (32.8 feet) into the water below.
The emergency services were called to the scene and divers were unable to find the lorry driver in the vehicle, according to the news site Takvim.
The local authorities reportedly closed the Deriner Dam to reduce the river level and the search team discovered the victim’s body while the water was receding.
Acar’s body was found around four kilometres from the crash site and was taken to the morgue of the Artvin State Hospital to undergo an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the police launched an investigation to establish the causes behind the accident.
