Lorry Detaches From Chassis And Flips Over On Busy Motorway In Kazakhstan

This is the moment the body of a lorry apparently detaches from the chassis on a busy motorway, sending the HGV crashing on its side.

The incident was filmed on Al-Farabi Avenue in the Kazakh city of Almaty, close to the Kazakhfilm studios, on 26th January.

The local authorities said: “The lorry overturned at around one o’clock in the afternoon. The lorry driver was travelling along Al-Farabi Avenue in an easterly direction.

“He lost control and the vehicle overturned on its right side as a result.

“The injured driver was examined by paramedics at the scene. The case materials are currently being processed by the Bostandyk District Police Department.”

In the footage, the driver apparently “lost control” after the lorry’s body detached from the chassis while in motion.

The HGV is seen driving along the middle lane when it suddenly bounces and the rear end lifts up after seemingly detaching from the chassis.

The rear wheels and axle bounce along the tarmac as the lorry flips on its side and comes to a stop on the outside lane.

The lorry comes to a halt in front of the owner of a white car, who apparently declines to help the driver and instead manoeuvres around the overturned lorry and continues on their way.

There have been no further updates on the lorry driver’s current health condition.
