Lorry Completely Burned Except For Rear Doors With Intact Image Of Virgin Mary

This footage shows a lorry that caught fire on a Brazilian motorway and was completely destroyed except for the intact rear doors with an unaffected image of the Virgin Mary.

The incident took place on the BR-158 highway in the municipality of Laranjeiras do Sul in the Brazilian state of Parana on 4th January when the fire department was called out to deal with a burning lorry on the side of the motorway.

Fire brigade spokesperson Carlos de Souza said he had no explanation for why the rear doors with the image of Our Lady of Aparecida, the patron saint of Brazil, were apparently untouched by the fire despite the rest of the lorry being gutted.

He said: “The lorry’s cargo box is all of the same highly flammable material. We see this kind of thing a lot, but we can’t comment because there are a lot of people who don’t believe it.

“It burned very quickly, the only explanation is really something supernatural, a miracle.”

According to the firefighter, the accident started after an electrical fault in the vehicle’s dashboard.

The lorry belongs to the company Transmarias, and the driver managed to escape the flames and was uninjured in the incident.

In the footage, the cameraperson films the burned lorry and untouched rear doors while saying: “The driver was uninjured, but something else has caught my attention…

“This here is simply a miracle. What is left of the lorry?

“For those who don’t believe in the miracle of Our Lady, there she is. The rest of the lorry is destroyed. After 20 hours, give or take, there’s still smoke coming out from underneath.”
