This photo shows an OAP’s shopping list left out for a kindhearted neighbour who is helping the elderly during COVID-19 lockdown that thoughtfully includes “I have used gloves so as not to infect you”.

The shopping list was posted on Facebook by netizen ‘Sonia Navarro Millan’ from the city of Teruel in the northern Spanish region of Aragon where it has been shared by over 22,000 users.

According to local media, Sonia is helping her elderly neighbours buy essential goods during the COVID-19 lockdown in Spain.

Sonia said: “Today I went to go shopping for elderly people who cannot leave their homes.

“I am sharing a list from one of them because it made me cry… do these kinds of things [for others] is the best feeling in the world.”

The photo shows a shopping list for items such as oranges, bananas, bread and onions with the additional notes: “I have used gloves so as not to infect you. Any money leftover is for you. I love you so much. I have not touched the money.”

Netizen ‘Carmen Ruiz Lopez” said: The only good thing from all of this is that we are seeing the good side of a lot of people.”

‘Elena Prieto Martinez’ commented: “This situation will make us stronger on a human level. It is nice to be able to help others, especially the elderly. They need us in these times.”
