Oh revealed that the incident first took place two months ago after her daughter came from a swimming pool with swollen red rashes.

The mother thought the red patches were insect bites at first but the tot’s condition reportedly worsened to the point of her crying because her rashes were burning.

She then took the girl to hospital but she says nothing improved until an elderly lady said the rashes appeared to be similar to the chlorine rashes her own grandson suffered.

The mum took the tot for a second medical opinion and the doctor diagnosed her with chlorine burns and she was given the appropriate medication.

Oh says the rashes suddenly came on despite her daughter going swimming around two or three times per month.

Doctors said a change in the chlorine content in the water may have caused the rashes. The mum now bathes her girl both before and after she swims and only lets her in the pool for one hour at a time.

She said the precautions are “working” and added that the tot’s burns have “almost gone”.

Oh asked other parents to share the case on social media for “all parents” to raise “awareness”.
