Light-Fingered Locals Loot Pigs From Lorry As Cops Watch

This is the moment light-fingered locals loot butchered pigs from a lorry that crashed while transporting the meat.

According to local media, the lorry crashed into a fence in Colastine in the northern Argentine province of Santa Fe and residents ran to the accident spot after word quickly spread that it was transporting meat.

Locals arrived in motorbikes and cars while some came on foot and simply carried their claimed their tasty spoils home over their shoulder.

Police arrived quickly to manage the traffic situation but reportedly still allowed some of the crowd to take meat home.

Eduardo Elizalde, director of the Food Safety Agency, told local media that it is not advisable to eat pork that had been lying on the asphalt for several hours.

One woman complained: “It’s a shame they won’t give us the other pigs, these ones cannot be sold anymore. They can give it to the poor people.”

Another man who had been waiting to claim his meat since “9 in the morning” told reporters in the evening that he was “going home to grill pork and eat it with my family”.

According to the local authorities, no one was hurt during the incident and the lorry driver was also uninjured.
