LEO MESCALOPE: Argie Chef Pays Tribute To Messi With Schnitzel Shaped Like Striker’s Face

An Argentine chef has paid tribute to his footballing hero with a schnitzel shaped like Lionel Messi’s face.

A video of the tasty-looking treat has been doing the rounds on social media after it was served up at the restaurant El Antojo in Buenos Aires.

Its creator even made a step-by-step video on how to prepare the delicious dish, which he captioned: “This is how we made the ‘milamessi’ with all our love for top player Leo Messi.”

‘Milamessi’ is a portmanteau of ‘milanesa’ and ‘Messi’, the former being the Spanish word for ‘schnitzel’.

El Antojo’s clip has since racked up tens of thousands of ‘likes’ on social media following Argentina’s victory over France in the World Cup final on 18th December.

In addition to the milamessi, the restaurant also makes a schnitzel in the shape of the World Cup trophy, which was lifted by Argentina captain Messi after the final.

On how the ‘nose’ of the schnitzel was left above the frying oil’s surface in the clip, social media user Josue Anyosa quipped: “The nose remained white in homage to Diego.”

Messi is widely seen as the heir to late countryman Diego Maradona, who was allegedly a prolific cocaine user.
