LAST TO SEE HER ALIVE: Rugby Player Accused Of Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend To Death

A young South African rugby player is facing court on allegations of stabbing his beautiful 21-year-old ex-girlfriend to death.

Ngcebo Thusi, 23, a player for the junior Blue Bulls rugby team, was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend Ntokozo Xaba, a third-year tech student after he was the last person to be seen with her.

She was found dead with multiple stab wounds to her neck inside her dorm room in Pretoria, South Africa, on 2nd February.

The two exes were reportedly out having drinks with mutual friends the previous night.

Thusi allegedly asked to speak to her alone, and friends claimed they left the two together.

After she was found dead the next morning, Thusi reportedly got arrested as the prime suspect.

He briefly appeared in court on 6th February but the hearing was postponed to 13th February for the state to confirm his address and profile ahead of bail proceedings.

The court is reportedly reviewing the case as gender-based violence.

The player and Xaba had allegedly been dating for two years before she broke up with him for becoming abusive.

Last year, she had allegedly reported him for assault.

Xaba was a student at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and resided on its campus.

The university expressed condolences to her family and condemned the brutal murder.

TUT said in a statement: “The university remains shocked and regretful that women, locally and the world over, continue to look over their shoulders even among fellow students and community.

“We condemn acts of violence on and off campus. Violence against women and children has reached unprecedented proportions that should be a great concern to everyone.”
