Last Moments Of Indonesian Actress, 27, In Car With Loved Ones Before Fatal Smash

These are Indonesian actress Vanessa Angel’s last moments before she died aged 27 in a car crash that also killed her husband and injured three others including her toddler son.

The accident took place on the Nganjuk-Surabaya motorway while the group was driving from Jakarta to the city of Surabaya in the Indonesian province of East Java on 4th November.

Five people were travelling in the Mitsubishi Pajero SUV when the driver, said to be drowsy at the wheel, lost control on a toll lane and crashed into a concrete divider, according to local reports.

Angel, who was jailed in 2019 for her involvement in an online prostitution ring, and her husband Febri ‘Bibi’ Andriansyah were killed at the scene.

The couple’s young son Gala, his nanny, and the driver suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police spokesperson Usman Latif said the driver, name not disclosed, was drowsy at the wheel when he lost control and struck the divider, sending the SUV spinning.

Hours before the fatal crash, the couple shared images from their journey in the car showing the scenery outside and Angel relaxing next to her son.

Local reports said the group was on its way to an event in Jakarta when the accident happened.

Angel started out as a model before appearing in Indonesian soap operas from 2008, and then later launching a music career.

She hit the headlines in 2019 when she was jailed for five months for her part in an online prostitution ring. She subsequently became the target of scandalous stories in Indonesian media that even extended to what she was up to behind bars.

After her release, she became an online entrepreneur and influencer and boasted 4 million followers on Instagram at the time of her death.
