LAME EXCUSE: Owner’s GBP 50 Vet Bill For Dog’s Faked Limp

A dog owner spent GBP 50 on vet bills for her limping pooch – only to be told the crafty pup was faking it to get attention.

Hilarious footage of the dog’s scam shows it holding one of its hind legs in the air as if it is too painful to put down.

The owner – not named in local media in Heze, Shandong Province, eastern China – told vets that whenever she came home from work, her dog always looked as if it was in agony.

She told local media (in Chinese): “A few days ago, I found that the dog could not put down one leg, and there was no response to touching that leg, so I wanted to send the dog to the hospital.

“After a series of examinations, the doctor said that the dog was fine.”

The vet reportedly told her that the dog was probably faking the condition whenever she came home to get more attention.

The owner said she left the vet’s office with the dog “alive and kicking” after having spent CNY 400 (GBP 47) to confirm that her dog is only shaming.

She shared a video of the furry ‘drama queen’ on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – and seemingly learned that her case was not the only one.

Many netizens related to the situation, and one user said they ‘caught’ their dog faking after realising that it would switch limping from one leg to another.
