A drunk who stabbed a shopkeeper in a botched robbery was arrested by police as he chomped pizza at a nearby restaurant.
CCTV footage of the terrifying attack in central Russia on 22nd November shows the 61-year-old attacker grappling drunkenly with the frightened cashier.
As he waves the knife at her she tries to fend him off but the burly thug is too strong.
When she refuses to hand over any cash, he chases her through the shop stabbing her in the back several times, report local media in Nizhnyaya Tura, Sverdlovsk Oblast.
The CCTV footage ends with him picking up a backpack and fleeing the store empty-handed.
Pictures taken after his arrest show him in handcuffs sitting on a bench.
Clad in greasy dark-blue tracksuit pants and a grey jacket, a large bruise can be seen on his right cheek.
There is also a scratch on the middle of the 61-year-old’s forehead as he stares glassy-eyed at the camera.
The man remains in custody as investigations continue.
He reportedly has a record of GBH offences.
Police did not release details of either the attacker or his victim.
