An evil husband and wife accused of killing a 13-year-old girl the man had been grooming have been busted hiding out on a boat on the Amazon River.

Sick Cleber Farias Calheiros and Luziete da Silva Palheta were arrested on the Amazon River near Urucurituba, a municipality in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, some 200 kilometres from Manaus, in Brazil, on Thursday, 23rd March.
They were wanted in connection with the death of Lorhana Vicente da Silva, 13, who was murdered in Manaus on 12th August 2021.
The authorities said that the victim was shot in the head after being repeatedly threatened by Palheta.
The pair were detained in the middle of the Amazon River on a boat they had been living on since fleeing Manaus.
Calheiros reportedly tried to flee by swimming in the water when the police arrived, according to local media.
But he was detained by an unnamed police officer who is reportedly an Olympic swimmer.

The pair were taken to a local police station, where officers took their statements.
Calheiros had allegedly been grooming the 13-year-old girl before his wife found out about it and told him to kill her.
