This is the moment a road-rage attacker smashes a woman’s windscreen as her children scream in fear.
The incident was filmed by one of the children inside the car in the central Mexican capital Mexico City, and the footage was later posted on Twitter where it has been viewed 200,000 times.
In the footage, a middle-aged man is seen on the woman’s car bonnet as she drives through busy traffic.
As at least two children in the back and passenger seat are heard crying in fear, the crazed man pounds the windscreen with one of the car’s wipers.
The windscreen cracks as the man slides off the bonnet, apparently allowing the mother to accelerate away.
According to the local authorities, an investigation has been launched to track down the aggressor seen in the footage. It is currently unclear why he was on the woman’s bonnet.
Netizen ‘Jerry Mauleon’ said: “When someone is on a car bonnet as the vehicle speeds away, it usually means that person is the victim and is trying to prevent the driver from getting away. The woman probably tried to run him over and he is only reacting.”
‘CarlosSalinas03’ commented: “Another coward who does not deserve to be on this planet.”
‘Froylanmr’ wrote: “She should have run him over. Protect young children above all else.”
