A professional goalkeeper has claimed his social media account was hacked after he shared brutal scenes of violence and murder from the city of Culiacan as El Chapo’s gang rages war on the police.

Argentine keeper Gaspar Servio, 27, plays for Dorados Sinaloa, the second-tier Mexican side who Diego Maradona used to manage and the club are based in the city of Culiacan in the state of Sinaloa in western Mexico.

The city has suffered a wave of violence as hitmen from Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman’s Sinaloa Cartel were engaged in a city-wide shootout with Mexican police in the city of Culiacan, in the northwestern Mexican state of Sinaloa after the arrest of El Chapo’s son, Ovidio Guzman.

Servio shared a series of videos on social media, showing the skies of covered in smoke due to fires around the city and another clips show a gunman in prone position appearing to fire a sniper rifle.

The final video shows as two bodies lay motionless on the street behind a red car.

Shortly after the videos were posted, Servio received criticism on social media and the videos were taken down.

The goalkeeper then posted images with a message assuring “I just got my Instagram back, someone hacked it…”

Another image shows an emoji with two hands joined together for prayer with the words “Be Strong Culiacan”.

It is unclear if the keeper’s account was hacked and no further statements have been released.

Servio’s Instagram is now private and unavailable to the general public.

Dorados were scheduled to play a match on Thursday but it was cancelled due to the violence in the city.

The Secretary of Security, Alfonso Durazo, confirmed at around 10 pm that Ovidio Guzman had been released in order not to put civilians in danger. He said that around 3.30 pm, an army patrol was carrying out patrol services in the area when they were attacked from a house in the area known as Tres Rios in Culiacan. They fought back against the aggression and four people were arrested, among whom was Ovidio Guzman.
