This video shows how medics kept calm and carried on performing a C-section on a patient as a powerful quake shook the hospital building around them.
The magnitude-6.5 earthquake struck Badakhshan Province, north-eastern Afghanistan, on 21st March.
Among the places hit by strong tremors was North India’s Jammu and Kashmir region.
This footage from the Sub District Hospital Bijbehara shows how equipment rattles and lights go out as a medical team operates on a woman.

Those present in the operating room can be heard chanting prayers as brave medics carry on performing the emergency Caesarian section.
After the newborn was delivered, the Chief Medical Officer of Anantnag district tweeted: “Emergency LSCS (lower segment Caesarean section) was going on at SDH Bijbehara Anantnag, during which strong tremors of earthquake were felt.

“Kudos to staff of SDH Bijbehara, who conducted the LSCS smoothly & thank God, everything is alright.”
At the time of writing, the natural disaster had killed 30 people and injured 383, according to reports.
In addition to Afghanistan and India, Pakistan and Tajikistan were also affected.
Tremors were also felt in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
