This is the dramatic moment a broken computer tablet bursts into flames in a repairman’s face as he tries to fix it.

The terrifying blast took place at the repair shop of Mr Si, in Jizhou, Hebei Province, China, on 16th November.

In-store surveillance cameras caught the moment when Mr Si starts to unscrew the case of a customer’s damaged tablet and it suddenly explodes.

Luckily, the quick-thinking technician quickly dropped the flaming gadget onto an empty workbench.

Mr Si told local media that the customer had come in with the tablet claiming that it could not be turned on.

He said that the customer was thankfully also on the scene at the time and witnessed the incident.

“The customer is very kind and did not ask for compensation,” Mr Si said.

He also shared the video on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok – to warn and remind his peers to pay attention when doing repair work.

Mr Si wrote in the caption that he was shocked even though he has spent over 10 years repairing mobile phones.

User ‘eight thousand brothers’ asked: “My God, do you still have eyebrows?” to which Mr Si replied that his eyebrows are okay.

And user ‘a bug’ said: “Be safe, wear goggles.”
