This is the funny moment a rat jumps out of a car bonnet and scares the living daylights out of two burly mechanics.
The incident took place in the north-western Turkish province of Duzce and was filmed by a security camera inside the workshop.
Garage owner Yakup Keskin said that the car was booked in for a winter check up and that he was about to pour in some antifreeze when the rodent jumped out.
In the CCTV footage, two mechanics and the car owner are seen grouped around the vehicle’s bonnet.
Suddenly, a rat leaps out and the three startled men jump back.
One mechanic kicks the rodent and it scuttles off as a scared colleague sprints out of the garage.
Meanwhile, the car owner goes over to look for the rat.
According to Keskin, workers have placed traps around the garage to catch the rat.
He told local media: “The car was here for a check up and when we opened the bonnet, a rat jumped towards me. With the cold weather, it had probably climbed into the engine to warm up.
“We panicked in the moment and the rat is still here. We are dealing with it, trying to catch it.”
