JET SKI HORROR: Woman Dies As She Slams Into Riverside Bar Pier

A woman died as her out-of-control jet ski slammed into a jetty at high speed as horrified riverside bar drinkers looked on.

Lavinia de Jesus dos Santos, 22, died from the impact of the crash while a second victim – named as Stefanie Braz – is recovering from a broken knee.

The pair reportedly borrowed the jet ski for a ride down the Vaza-Barris River at Orla Por do Sol (Sunset Waterfront), in the city of Aracaju, in the north-eastern Brazilian state of Sergipe, on 3rd April.

They had been at a party on a boat moored at Orla Por do Sol when they decided to try out the craft.

Shocking CCTV footage shows them speeding straight for the jetty without attempting to steer or slow down.

Victim Lavinia was buried at Sao Joao Batista Cemetery, in Aracaju, today (4th April).

The commercial establishment that owns the pier where the accident took place is regulated and the owners’ paperwork was in order, according to reports.

The CCTV footage shows dozens of people enjoying a drink at tables positioned on the beach as the victims enter the frame on the jet ski.

Apparently out of control, the jet ski operator slams into the pier without slowing down as stunned bar goers turn to look.
