Lehmann’s hearing was scheduled at 9.30am at the District Court in Munich, Germany, on Tuesday, 6th December, after he reportedly smashed the speed limit on public roads earlier this year.

The 53-year-old ex-Gunners goalie is reportedly facing a three-month-long driving ban for speeding at 111 kph (69) in an area where the speed limit was set at 50 kph (31 mph).

But according to a court spokesperson the case has been postponed with no reason given, but it is known that Lehmann was spotted among the grandstands at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, on Sunday, 4th December.

He was reportedly watching a knockout phase game accompanied by an unknown woman between France and Poland just before his trial.

The game ended with a 3-1 win in favour of “Les Bleus”, assuring them a spot into the world championship’s quarter-finals where they face England.

Lehmann already has a colourful legal record, after he allegedly destroyed his neighbour’s garage with a chainsaw in Bavaria, Germany.

He reportedly demolished the next-door garage because it apparently blocked his view of the beautiful Lake Starnberg and he claimed it was built on his land.

The ex-goalie was fined EUR 42,500 (GBP 35,700) in 2016 for aiding and abetting an escape from an accident.

He also received a EUR 200 (GBP 168) fine for staying away from a trial for making phone calls while driving.

In his most recent dispute, Lehmann had lodged an objection to a fine of EUR 40 (GBP 35) for illegal parking, but he did not show up in court “because of other appointments” on 19th October.
