Jealous Teen Admits To Killing Ex Girlfriends Boyfriend And Dumping Body In Desert

An 18-year-old man has confessed to murdering his ex-girlfriend’s teen boyfriend who he allegedly kidnapped, shot multiple times and then dumped in the desert.

Jerssen Perez, 18, is accused of kidnapping and killing his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend Oscar Ortega, 19, in North Phoenix in Arizona on Wednesday, 6th October.

Fox 10 said Oscar was reported missing by his family in the early hours of Wednesday after he left this girlfriend’s house and disappeared.

Court documents seen by Fox 10 revealed that Perez allegedly waited outside his ex-girlfriend’s house and kidnapped him at gunpoint.

Perez bundled the victim into his own car before driving off towards the desert.

At some point during the journey, Oscar pulled out his phone and, thinking that his victim was about to contact the police, Perez reportedly shot him multiple times.

He then allegedly dumped Oscar’s body in the desert.

The teen returned home and told his family what he did and handed them the gun.

The suspect’s family called the police and told them the story, adding that when he arrived home his shirt was covered in bloodstains.

The suspect was arrested and, according to Fox 10, has confessed to the crime and led cops to where he dumped the body.

Perez first appeared in court yesterday, 7th October, and his lawyer appealed for a lower bond, citing the fact that the suspect has no criminal background.

The attorney said: “His family secured evidence for the state. They did not attempt to conceal anything. Secondly, when he was arrested, he actually led them to evidence that would help their case.”

Police records show that Perez said he spent over a month planning the murder.

Perez is facing charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. His bond was set at USD 1 million (GBP 730,000) and he is due in court again next Thursday, 14th October.
