Jealous Ex On Trial For Murdering Nurse In Nazi Concentration Camp Bunker Says Grim Reaper Has Been Following Him For Years

A jealous ex-boyfriend on trial for murdering a young nurse and mum of one in a Nazi concentration camp bunker in Berlin has told a court during his trial that the “Grim Reaper has been following me for 15 years”.

The defendant, named only as Kurt L., 29, due to strict local privacy laws, even claimed that the Grim Reaper was standing behind him as he stood trial for the murder of Bianca Simone, 26, who took off her bra and T-shirt before she was allegedly stabbed to death in the disused Nazi concentration camp bunker.

The bunker, named ‘Karo Ass’ (‘Ace of Diamonds’ in English) is located in a forest near Oranienburg, a town in the north-eastern German state of Brandenburg, not far from the capital Berlin.

It has now been revealed during the trial of Kurt L. that the victim was found with seven knife injuries to her back and throat and that she was attacked from behind after she removed her T-shirt and bra.

She allegedly met with Kurt L., who was eventually arrested on 27th July 2021, with the young mother falling face forward to the ground after being stabbed.

The defendant’s lawyer Detlef Knoch said: “My client will not say anything about the matter, for the time being.”

But the defendant, a trained woodworking technician, did speak on some matters, saying: “The Grim Reaper has been following me for 15 years. He’s always there… I don’t see his face. He wears a black hood. His face, arms and legs are covered by a robe.”

The statement reportedly caused a stir in the courtroom, with the judge Udo Lechtermann, 67, then asking: “And he follows you?”

The defendant reportedly replied: “Yes, he is there all the time. Also here in the hall.””

Prosecutor Marc Reichardt asked the defendant: “Where is he now?”

The defendant reportedly replied: “The Grim Reaper is behind me. Here in the hall. He does nothing. I’m not afraid of him.”

The court also heard how two days before the murder, the defendant was reportedly heard at a supermarket in Oranienberg saying that he would “make life hell” for the victim after apparently discovering that she had cheated on him.

An unnamed investigator said that the suspect had said: “I can’t control Bianca, she did what she wanted.”

Their tumultuous, 15-month relationship was punctured by frequent break-ups that inevitably led to reconciliation sex. The defendant said: “We broke up. But then the terror continued. She came back to my apartment, rang the bell, then reconciliation sex again.”

The defendant also reportedly told the investigator that “Bianca scratched me badly during sex.”

The victim worked as a geriatric nurse and can be seen in CCTV images from Oranienburg train station pushing a bicycle and sporting a top with the words “Hakuna matata” on it on Thursday 15th July, 2021.

According to investigators, she died shortly after these images were recorded.

An autopsy performed on her body confirmed that she died violently, although the Neuruppin public prosecutor’s office does not believe that a sexual offence was committed.

Spokesperson Torsten Sauermann said at the time: “We have not found any traces of rape.”

The Sachsenhausen concentration camp was used from 1936 to the end of the Third Reich in May 1945 and it mainly held political prisoners throughout the war, among them Joseph Stalin’s eldest son Yakov Dzhugashvili.

When the Nazis set up the camp, they also built an arms control department, a dog training school, storage and intelligence units, and an above-ground communications bunker, known as the Funkbunker Karo Ass (Ace of Diamonds).

Bianca’s corpse was found in the corridors of the communications bunker, which used to belong to the SS (Schutzstaffel), which was Adolf Hitler’s paramilitary organisation responsible for the genocidal killing of an estimated 5.5 to 6 million Jews and millions of other victims during WWII.

Bianca’s son, who was five years old at the time, has since been taken into care by his grandmother.

It is currently unclear if the defendant has undergone a psychological evaluation.
