James Rodriguez’s model WAG Shannon de Lima has denied she was responsible for breaking up the midfielder’s marriage two years ago.

The Colombian footballer, who has been playing for Bayern Munich while on loan from Real Madrid since 2017, was married to volleyball player Daniela Ospina and the couple has a six-year-old daughter named Salome.

Rodriguez married the Colombian volleyball star, who is the sister of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, in 2011 and they announced that they were divorcing in July 2017.

Meanwhile, rumours that the 27-year-old midfielder has been going out with 31-year-old Shannon de Lima have been circulating for about a year and they have been pictured together on several occasions.

However, the Venezuelan model, who used to be married to American singer Marc Anthony, has defended herself on social media after taking offence at one netizen’s accusation.

The blonde belter uploaded a selfie to Instagram for her 1.7 million followers, ‘liked’ by over 108,000 people, when she saw a comment by netizen ‘Ismael Arango’ that she took issue with.

The Instagram user said: “According to this, James cheated on Daniela with Shannon.”

Outraged by the accusation, De Lima responded: “When someone has been divorced for over two years it isn’t considered cheating, that is called ignorance.

“Stop f*cking around and talking nonsense, it is about time you looked for a job. You’re not reading the game well.

The curvy model added: “Here I am replying to your doubts, my loves.”

After responding online, several followers told De Lima that she did not have to answer negative comments and the Venezuelan model said that she is tired of the speculation and wanted to clarify things.
