IRAN HIJAB PROTESTS: Security Cops Shoot Another Young Woman Dead During Street Demos

Iranian security police are accused of shooting a 23-year-old woman dead during an anti-regime demonstration.

Aspiring hairdresser Nasim Sedghi was allegedly killed by direct fire from security agents during a street protest in Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province on 31st October.

Sources told anti-regime media she was struck by two bullets – in the centre of her forehead and in the chest.

They added that security forces are now pressuring her family into stating that her death was an accident.

Nasim was buried in Shahin Dezh Cemetery on 2nd November under the watchful eye of security agents and with only her father allowed to attend.

Family and friends held a ceremony by her grave the following day.

According to reports, Nasim had lied to her family that she was going to a hairdressing class before heading to the demo in Urmia.

The protests that erupted across Iran on 16th September have so far claimed at least 337 lives and injured at least 1,160, according to independent estimates.
