Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic is set to take an Italian paparazzi kingpin to court for defamation over claims he was having an affair with teammate Mauro Icardi’s wife Wanda Nara.

Brozovic is reportedly set to take Italian media personality Fabrizio Corona to court over claims Corona made on his website ‘The King Corona Magazine’.

Corona’s website suggested that Brozovic and Nara had a secret relationship behind Icardi’s back and that Icardi was considering divorcing his wife after finding out.

Reports also suggested that Croatian international Brozovic had suffered “violent attacks” from former Inter captain Icardi.

The unconfirmed information was immediately denied by all parties involved and Brozovic has launched a case of defamation against Corona.

Brozovic’s lawyer Danilo Buongiorno has told reporters: “The judge examined the case and set a date. He recognised the valid elements and serious allegations of defamation.”

Corona, who was a leading figure in the paparazzi world was charged over blackmail photos in 2009. In 2013 he was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.

According to local media, he is suffering from borderline personality disorders, associated with narcissistic tendencies and depressive episodes and earlier this month following a decision by a Milan Surveillance Judge, he was sent for treatment in a health institute near Monza.

The trial of the former entrepreneur and photographer in the Brozovic case will reportedly begin on 12th March in Milan.

Earlier this week Wanda made headlines when she said that her husband will only have sex with her “if the match went well” but if he loses he “does not even want to look at me”.
