Victim Aleyna Eroglu took to Instagram to tell her 226,000 followers on 21st March that striker Batuhan Karadeniz had physically abused her.

Karadeniz, 31, last played for third-division Vanspor FK in Van, Turkey, in 2022 and is currently without a club.

He has previously played for the likes of Besiktas, Trabzonspor, and the Turkey national team, and was known for having disciplinary issues.

In a teary video, Aleyna said: “I had a very ugly and disgusting night. I am against all kinds of violence against women. This was not the first time I experienced violence.

“I lost count of how many times I have been subjected to it. I got out of a very bad relationship. I hoped it would get better, but it didn’t.

“I got a restraining order and filed a complaint after obtaining a medical report.”

Aleyna continued: “I gave you TRY 300,000 (GBP 13,000) bit by bit. You bought a laptop with my mother’s credit card and spent TRY 37,000 (GBP 1,600).

“You sold my gold bracelet that I thought I lost. If I cursed you, no one in this world and the hereafter could fix it. You cheat people and score goals.

“You squeezed my arm between the door. Batuhan Karadeniz is the person who caused me this psychological and physical violence.

“I went to his home tonight with police officers. He did things that humiliated me and my family. I trust in Turkish justice. I paid a heavy price for trusting someone.

“I also got a restraining order. There are also videos of him dragging me by my hair in a hotel. I just trusted him. I want to erase the last two years from my life.

“I will take this matter to court.”

Aleyna first rose to fame in 2016 through the reality competition show Iste Benim Stilim, in which female contestants have to come up with different outfits.

She later became active on Instagram as an influencer.

Media in Turkey reported that police officers paid Karadeniz a visit at his home following his girlfriend’s allegations.
