Indonesian Student Who Became Millionaire Selling Selfies Says Women Dont Stop Pestering Him

The Indonesian student who became an overnight millionaire after selling thousands of selfies has revealed that “many” women have reached out to him since he hit the headlines.

Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali, 22, who studies computer science at university in the Indonesian city of Semarang, took pictures of himself every day for about five years and sold thousands of selfies as non-fungible tokens (NFT), a digital token encrypted with the artist’s signature to verify ownership and authenticity, on the internet.

He put his images on the platform Opensea in December and reportedly made over USD 1 million, making him a billionaire in his native Indonesia.

Hundreds of people bought ownership of Ghozali’s expressionless snaps, making him a millionaire and forcing him to admit: “I still haven’t got the courage to tell my parents, they would be wondering where I got the money from!”

He also said: “I never thought anybody would want to buy the selfies, which is why I only priced them at USD 3.”

Since his overnight success, Ghozali said he is getting bombarded with private messages from women. However, he admits he is aware of “their intentions”.

The millionaire recently appeared on a podcast, where he was asked how many women had reached out to him since his selfie success by the presenter.

Ghozali confessed that “many” had written to him since coming into money, but the shrewd young man appears aware that they may not have the best intentions at heart.

He said: “Many (women) have written to me… I do not respond, I already know their intentions.”
