This is the moment laughing pals in a car speed around a bend with one man clinging onto the roof like a Hollywood stuntman before he falls off and he reportedly needed hospital treatment.

The incident took place in the town of Palafrugell in the province of Girona in the north-eastern Spanish region of Catalonia and was later shared on social media.

In the footage, a man is seen clinging onto the car’s roof as the driver speeds around a bend, apparently to test his friend’s ‘stuntman’ skills.

As people titter in the background, another smiling pal is seen hanging out of the open back door as the car screeches around the corner and the man on the roof starts to slide off.

He is last seen falling off the roof as the vehicle continues speeding around the bend.

According to local media, the bungling ‘stuntman’ was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries after the incident although he was released later the same day.

After the video was shared on social media, the police launched an investigation and managed to identify the car owner and two other group members, according to reports.

The driver is expected to face charges of reckless driving although it is unclear if anyone has been arrested so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
