This is the moment a lorry driver reverses over an old lady passing behind the vehicle in a car park before apparently driving forward and running her over again.

The incident occurred in the city of Pavlodar, the capital of Pavlodar Region, located in north-eastern Kazakhstan and was recorded by a CCTV camera.

In the video, an old lady can be seen walking through a car park when a lorry driver begins reversing towards her, apparently without being able to see her.

The lorry driver reverses straight into the woman and is said to have run over her body. He realises something is wrong and comes to a halt before jumping out of his cab and running to the back of the vehicle along with an onlooker. He can then be seen running back into the driver’s seat as the onlooker runs back towards the rear of the vehicle.

Local media report the elderly woman, who has not been named in reports, suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Reports claim both the driver and the woman were at fault for not being attentive enough.

It is unclear if an investigation has been launched into the incident and the lorry driver has not been named in reports.
