This is the moment lazy builders throw construction rubbish from the seventh floor of a hotel to a lorry parked below as people walk around close by.

The incident took place at the Orbita Hotel in the north-western Russian city of Saint Petersburg and was posted on social media where it has been viewed 122,000 times.

According to local media, in order to speed up the job, workers threw construction waste from the seventh floor of the hotel to a lorry parked below.

Filmed by an onlooker, the footage shows the workers missing the lorry multiple times as people walk nearby.

Reports said the builders were throwing down plastic bags with timber, wood cuts and industrial waste.

Netizens had a lot to say about the construction workers clean-up efforts, with ‘Kristina Smirnova’ commenting: “How could they even think of doing something as irresponsible as that?”

‘Alexander Aleksandrov’ said: “So what? I think it is better than ruining the entire floor and lift. Then someone else would make a similar video blaming the workers for ruining the hallway. I think this is a common practice.”

‘Andrey Levkovich’ wrote: “Bottom line is that they hit their target.”
