Hundreds Flock To Russian Beaches As Lockdown Eases

This footage shows a Russian beach packed with hundreds of visitors as the country begins to ease its lockdown restrictions.

The scenes were recorded at the central beach of the Black Sea resort city of Anapa in the western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai were hundreds of people gathered to sunbathe and play in the water.

In the video, the beach can be seen packed with visitors who appear to be attempting to social distance.

A voice off-camera says: “t’s 9th June, looks like the quarantine is over. Everyone is happy, having fun and sunbathing here.”

Reports state beachgoers all attempted to social distance despite the huge numbers on the sand and the water being too cold for most bathers,

Local media report quarantine measures were loosened in the Krasnodar Krai on 6th June. With terraces and walking areas opened in the city of Anapa, prompting a wave of customers as the summer season hits.

Netizen ‘Ira Ira’ said: “They are not even scared of the coronavirus. I’ll be there on 20th July too.”

‘Karina Agibalova’ wrote: “They will provoke the second wave of the infection. They’ll play enough, these happy guys.”
