A suspected cartel shaman who offered up human remains on ‘satanic altars’ to make gang members bullet proof has been arrested.

The suspected La Union Tepito Cartel shaman, identified only as Carlos and known as ‘El Nino Problemas’ (‘The Troublemaking Kid’), was reportedly arrested several days after suspected cartel leader Oscar Andres Flores Ramirez, aka ‘El Lunares’.

The raid took place in the colony of Peralvillo located in the municipality of Cuauhtemoc in the central Mexican capital Mexico City.

According to local media, the suspect is believed to be the shaman responsible for setting up a satanic altar that was discovered during a raid on five houses in the same colony that resulted in the arrests of 26 men and five women.

Investigators reportedly spotted him talking to several city cops and, along with Flores Ramirez, he is believed to have bribed police officers as well as threatened local landlords to take over their properties.

Reports said he managed to take over most of the flats in a building located at 33 Peralvillo Street.

The leader of La Union Tepito Oscar Andres Flores Ramirez was reportedly arrested a few days before on the 31st January in the town of Tolcayuca in the state of Hidalgo.

Local media reported the “satanic altar” discovered in one of the houses in Peralvillo was set with human remains which were allegedly used as offerings.

The altar was reportedly made with figures referring to the devil, as well as masks and mud jars allegedly containing human remains.

Cops also reportedly found skulls covered with blood on the altar.

Local resident Martha N. reportedly claimed that the members of the La Union Tepito gang carried out satanic rituals every three days in order to receive good fortune in their alleged criminal activity and become ‘immune’ to bullets.
