This huge tornado has been recorded on the island of Majorca as residents are forced to stay indoors during the coronavirus quarantine.
The video was recorded by Vox party politician Jorge Campos Asensi in the area known as Llucmajor on the island of Majorca, in the eastern Spanish region of the Balearic Islands and shared yesterday (Sunday).
In the video, a huge vortex can be seen linking the ground to a dark cloud above.
The tornado was seen in Llucmajor as it went towards the bay of the island’s capital Palma de Majorca.
The State Agency of Meteorology warned on Sunday that there could be cloud cover and rainstorms on the island during a new cold front hitting the, with Ibiza and Majorca both especially likely to receive the storm.
Local media report other areas of the island such as Manacor and Sant Llorenc des Cardassars suffered hail storms but no damage has been reported in the incident.
