Cops are hunting a husband who allegedly shot his 22-year-old wife in the face with a rifle before stealing the money she raised for her reconstructive surgery.

The victim, identified as Tugce Aras who is 23 years younger than her husband, was disfigured after the alleged shooting, according to local media.

To raise money for reconstructive surgery to her face, Aras reportedly sold a construction crane that was registered under her name for 300,000 TRY (43,000 GBP). She reportedly inherited the crane and used to rent it out.

Her husband’s friend bought the crane and transferred the money to his account, which the unnamed suspect allegedly pocketed before disappearing.

She told local media: “I was always waiting for that traitor to kill me one day. But he possibly did something worse than that. I cannot even look at myself in the mirror anymore.

“I sold my crane to cover the costs of my facial surgery. My husband Akif Aras deceived the person who bought it and made him transfer the money to himself. He took the money and ran away.

“He first stole my dreams, my life, my health and now my money.”

Her lawyer, Sibel Onder, confirmed that they are suing the suspect for fraud, who is also wanted for attempted murder.

Meanwhile, the local police are trying to track the husband down and an investigation into the allegations is underway.
