Hubby Arrested After Dead Body Of Missing Fashion Influencer Found In Forest

The husband of a young Russian fashion influencer who disappeared in early April has been arrested after her body was found in a forest after he claimed she had packed her stuff and moved out.

The lifeless body of Christina Zhuravleva, 28, was found near the town of Aramil, 22 kilometres southeast of Yekaterinburg City in the Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast, in a forest on 16th April.

The young fashion and lifestyle influencer had nearly 60,000 followers on Instagram and her last post was on 3rd April.

Followers noted the last time they heard from the influencer in her comments section was on 5th April and they sounded the alarm when she suddenly stopped posting.

According to the news site Life, Christina had few close friends in her home city and spent most of her time talking to two other influencers based in other cities.

The two online contacts messaged and called her many times until eventually reaching the victim’s husband Dmitry who said Christina had split up with him and left all her belongings behind.

The missing woman’s body was reportedly found in woodland near a motorway with clear signs of physical violence.

Her body was sent to a forensics facility to undergo an autopsy.

The police said: “The victim was found in woodland in mid-April. An examination has been carried out, but there is no information yet as to whether it was suicide or murder.”

Christina’s husband Dmitry has been arrested in connection with the influencer’s death and is being held in a pre-trial detention centre.
