This is the mind-blowing moment a dog in central China hitches a ride home on the roof of its owner’s motor trike.

Stunned witnesses filmed the extraordinary event as the trike weaved through traffic in the city of Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

The footage shows an old man driving a modified tricycle with a roof.

But rather than put his dog in the cosy cabin, the pooch can be seen standing on the roof like a surfer.

The pup seems to be enjoying the ride as it is wagging its tail as it passes through traffic with the wind in its face.

The video was later shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, with the caption: “It’s still rewarding to come out on a foggy day”.

User ‘respectful’ wrote in a comment: “This dog has a good sense of balance.”

While another user, ‘A level’ said: “It’s troublesome to brake suddenly.”

But ‘Cockleblur’ wrote: “A true warrior dares to stand on a high place and face the wind.”
