HOT WHEELS: LPG Car Shoots Fireball In Mechanic’s Face

This is the moment a car powered by liquefied petroleum gas sends a huge fireball into the face of a mechanic in a repair shop.

CCTV footage shows the garage worker looking under the bonnet when a gas leak suddenly explodes just inches from his face.

Other mechanics quickly rush over to put out the blaze, with one of them using a fire extinguisher on the car engine.

The incident took place in the city of Siirt, the capital of south-eastern Turkey’s Siirt Province.

The car had reportedly just undergone repairs when the incident took place.

Auto shop owner Ferhat Tekin it was the first time such an incident had happened to him, adding: “The vehicle had come for periodic maintenance and controls.

“While we were carrying out the maintenance, we felt a gas leak in the vehicle.

“While checking the elements, it suddenly caught fire. There was a leak caused by LPG.

“We must have the LPG tanks and LPG leaks checked. At that moment, the vehicle caught fire.

“The staff did not know what to do out of fear. We immediately intervened in the incident, put out the fire using a fire extinguisher, and intervened on the vehicle.

“We saved it from major material damage. But material damage occurred in its pipes and other parts, We came early in the morning and put the vehicle back in working condition.

“Our customer can safely get into his vehicle now.”
