HOT PURSUIT: Man Arrested And Jailed After Dangerous Police Chase

This is the moment a dangerous and reckless driver gets arrested by police in Nottinghamshire after a failed attempt to flee.

The Nottinghamshire Police caught up with Waleed Ahmed Chaudhry, 25, after a short pursuit in the streets of the Nottinghamshire area, in the UK.

Chaudhry ignored officers when they tried to perform a traffic stop after he drove over the speed limit and through red lights.

He also overtook a vehicle on a blind bend causing its driver to take evasive action to avoid a crash as officers worked to bring the pursuit to a safe conclusion, the police said.

Dashcam footage captured Chaudhry trying to speed away from officers and veering left and right on the road in an apparent attempt to throw them off.

But the speedy chase did not last long as Chaudhry tried to jump out of his car and seemingly go fleeing on foot after his tyres got stung.

Moments later, the cops arrive and capture him.

The dangerous driver was “desperate to evade justice” and tried to head away from the city streets, but failed during his “unsuccessful bid to outrun determined cops”, the police added.

Chaudhry was promptly arrested and was subsequently charged with dangerous driving, and was sentenced to 12 months in jail.

He was also banned from driving for three years, according to local media.
