This stunning Kuwaiti influencer with over three million followers has been arrested for promoting a fake 15-minute COVID-19 test that resembled a home pregnancy stick.

Gorgeous beauty influencer Fouz Alfahd, who boasts over 3 million followers on Instagram alone, shared a video of her using the ‘COVID-19 test’ on her Snapchat account.

While holding a stick resembling a pregnancy test, she said: “You can use this just one time to see whether or not you have coronavirus (COVID-19).

“Of course, around 95 percent of the results will be correct, but you should still go for a check-up if you feel any symptoms.”

She added: “With all my paranoia, I struggled hard until I got this piece of equipment. It’s good to have this at home.”

According to reports, Alfahd has been arrested after posting the video.

At present, government-sanctioned tests take between 24 and 48 hours to get the results.

Local media said that Kuwait was one of the few countries in the Middle East to act quickly on the spread of COVID-19.

The authorities introduced a number of strict measures, including enforcing a nationwide lockdown, closing all schools and universities, and temporarily halting all foreign flights.

Last week, the government proposed tough new measures for citizens who “intentionally infect others” with up to five years in prison and a hefty fine.

Kuwait has reported 189 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no related deaths.

As of 24th March, there have been 382,644 cases of the virus around the world, 16,587 related deaths and 101,898 recoveries.
