This is the shocking moment a speeding biker rams into a cyclist on a zebra crossing and sends her spinning through the air before crashing hard on the tarmac.

The incident was filmed in the city of Blumenau in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina on the morning of 22nd February.

In the CCTV footage, the young victim is seen checking the street before mounting her bike and cycling on the zebra crossing.

A speeding biker then suddenly appears and the woman turns her head a second before he ploughs into her, sending her spinning through the air.

Both bikers fall on the tarmac as a female eyewitness holds her face in shock.

At the end of the video, a man is seen exiting a nearby property to check on the injured biker in the road.

According to the news site G1, the 31-year-old cyclist, name not reported, was crossing the street when the 38-year-old motorcyclist rammed into her, sending her flying through the air.

The fire department said the victim suffered two broken legs, a suspected head trauma, and was unconscious at the scene.

The biker sustained minor injuries in the incident and was treated at the scene after refusing to be taken to hospital, according to the fire department.

The injured cyclist was taken to the Santa Isabel Hospital by ambulance where she is undergoing treatment.

There have been no further updates on her condition as the investigation continues.
