This huge deadly toad considered one of the most poisonous in the world and weighing over 4 lbs has been found at a home in Argentina.
The toad was found in the waters of a private property in the rural area of Camino Muerto, in the municipality of Granadero Baigorria, in the north-eastern Argentine province of Santa Fe.
The toad reportedly belongs to the species cane toad (Rhinella marina) and measures 25 centimetres in length and weighs around two kilogrammes (4.4 lbs).
The toad was found on private property and the owners then called the firefighters because of the huge size of the poisonous toad as well as taking photos of the impressive amphibian.
The cane toad is listed in the 100 most harmful invasive species in the world because of its poison glands.
Its toxic skin can kill many animals, both wild and domesticated, and cane toads are particularly dangerous to dogs. Reports state that humans have been killed after eating the toads.
The species is used in the Caribbean and Australia to control plagues, especially of cane beetles.
The toad was taken to the Fauna section of the department of Environment of Santa Fe.
The animal is reportedly in a health condition and is currently under the care of the local services.
