In the black and white footage, the suspect, identified as Maximiliano Diaz Gomez and seen wearing a white T-shirt, is talking with a man in a dark top.

After a short exchange, the homeless suspect appears to stab the victim, named as rubbish collector Juan David Quipildor, once in the chest.

As the victim appears to be in distress, Diaz Gomez coolly walks away and is joined by a young woman.

According to local media, Quipildor was found lying on the pavement before being taken to hospital where he later died as a result of his stab wound.

Reports said that Diaz Gomez was arrested by the police while sleeping on the streets and the suspected murder weapon was also found in his surroundings.

The victim’s family consider the woman to be an accomplice and want her investigated too, according to local media.

Reports said she has not been arrested yet.

It is believed that Quipildor was stabbed following an argument with the suspect although the cause of their disagreement is not yet known.

Local media said the victim lived at home with his mother and was the father of a 15-year-old boy.

The investigation into his death is ongoing.
